Code:
edl /u0 /w /s0 /c0 backup0.img edl /u1 /w /s0 /c0 backup1.img edl /u2 /w /s0 /c0 backup2.img edl /u3 /w /s0 /c0 backup3.img edl /u4 /w /s0 /c0 backup4.img edl /u5 /w /s0 /c0 backup5.img Because reading is harmless. Writing is dangerous. What if you wanted to flash the boot partition: Code:
edl /u /w /pboot_a myboot.img Code:
edl /u /w myboot.img |

Okay, I did that, and now it's bricked, again?!
So, the last time root didn't work so I thought I should start fresh. Now, every time it boots, it shows tablet is starting up sequence, forever. I'm positive there is nothing wrong with my backup image, I administered the backup process thoroughly. I did try to make adb work by flashing your recovery, but the same splash screen shows up. Can you please help me? |

I thought you were asking as a matter of interest not of utility. Although that would have hardly made a difference.
If you didn't mix your backups up and if they hadn't got corrupted somehow and if they went in without a problem, then there is only one possiblity besides hardware problems. Did you at any time "factory reset" or "wipe data"? That would be "fastboot -w" or some action under the stock recovery. |

Smacks forehead. You deleted the keys to decrypt your userdata. All that information is gone and it will take a quantum computer in the year 2100 to restore it.
Recovery should still work from the restored backup. But you need to flash misc-recovery to misc to make it go to recovery. You can try "fastboot -w" now to see if you can get this thing to do a fresh start (without your userdata). But if you haven't already invalidated your backed up userdata you will have then. |
