Calibre 3.48.0 is not recognizing my new Kindle Paperwhite(11th Gen) 2021 release

I received my all new Kindle this morning itself, and I went onto download Calibre on my laptop. But I had to download version 3.48.0 as I have Windows 7 Professional running on my laptop.
But it wasn't able to detect my Kindle device for some reason.
I tried following every step mentioned in the Sticky post at the top of this forum.
Please guide and let me know if this is happening because I'm using an older version or some other issue.

I've included the Debug device detection output below. Let me know if I can help any further. Thank you.

Kovid has already added support for the new Kindle which will appear in the next release of calibre (5.31?).

I think you are out of luck on Windows 7 unless you can run calibre from source and patch the old version you are using.

I am in the same boat, but I can try it on a laptop running Windows 10.

The best solution is to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11 and run the latest version of Calibre.

I disagree. IMHO, it's best to do it all under Windows if that's your main platform. And in this case, I do think the solution is to upgrade Windows unless the OP or someone else will be putting in the patches to support the PW5.

I agree 100% but the problem is that OP is running unsupported Windows (dude!) with outdated software. IIRC, updates to Windows 10 are no longer free.

About 2 weeks ago, I updated a neighbour's older HP laptop to Windows 10. The installer accepted the Windows 7 key and the laptop seems to be running happily. No Windows 11 update possible but that's an issue for another year.

Yes, Windows 10 updates are still free from Microsoft.
