Now only icons near the adress are too small (its rather hard to tap the icon you need). It does not write in Russian, only in English. Freeze with the second tab

I really hope that it will be perfect!

okay I got the original images splashing.

And on the subject of size:
I painstakingly went thru to find which are /required/ icons to reduce bloat.
The real killer is the supporting libs - which are not small.
Will probably repeat that process again (painstaking tests to see which libs could be dumped) to get the size down at some point.

I'll have a look at your package now.

I have included a quick replacement for you.

delete what is in

/mnt/us/extensions/midori/pixmaps/icons
and the /mnt/us/extensions/midori/pixmaps/gtkrc

and expand what is in this bundle into that location

This will all be in the next RELEASE CANDIDATE.

about writing in russian...

As far as I know the Amazon keyboard only localizes to certain things.

This is why the /mnt/us/extensions/midori/usr/bin/toggleKeys script is external and totally generic.

You can replace the invocations in there with anything.

as long as you service the close, open and toggle logic in the same way.

someone needs to fiddle about getting matchbox keyboard in there at some point if they want simple multi-lingual options.

you may also note that xdotool is bundled with this.
giving you a WORLD of options in terms of how you might choose to hide/show/resize such a custom keyboard..

Here it is an animated splash screen (as kual app demo), hope you like it. Screensaver button to clean the screen later

okay... couple of reasons why this might be an issue.

if I run it synchronously it will block the app coming up until it has stopped running. if I dont I will need to some sort of screen-scraping... or injection INSIDE the midori.. which may actually slow down load time, otherwise it will end up drawing over the app.

Let me have a play and see what I come up with, nice work though

I tought to another, easier solution :P we let it cycle only for the minimal amount of time that midori can take loading (misuring it by hand)... than it cycle only for that time, keeping the last image still until the app shows and draw over it :P A still image "for some time" it's anyway better then a still one forever

What do you mean? PS row with -f argument goes first, and 70ms is too few to let it update, better 700ms

I was suggesting to keep the "for" cycle and let it run only for an arbitrary amount of time, keeping some margin to stop before the browser loads (even if it will freeze on the last image during that time)

mine loads now in hardly any time at all.
