Convert PDF to EPUB

I downloaded a pdf book, Sustainable Fuels, 13.9 MB ad want to convert it to Epub to load on Kobo.

It gets stuck at 1% for up to three minutes, I've waited.

I know that is a big file but should it work the same way.

I'm sure I have converted other pdf's to epub.

What else do I need to know.

Running Win 7 64, and latest version of Calibre,

Leave the process running. 3 minutes isn't that long for a large and complex PDF file and Calibre will let you know if the conversion fails.

Too true... I've had conversions take up to 45 minutes for large and complex PDFs...

Also, don't expect too much out of it.

PDF is about the worst input AND output format you can have for use on an e-reader. PDF works everywhere, except on e-readers under 9.7 inch; it "works"... so-so.

Thanks . It took nearly 8 minutes, and comes up with some odd spacing, readable but so-so.

Which is really about the best you can hope for with conversions from PDF.
