Tried to revert to Stock, not missing SD card?
Hello all
I decided to revert my NC to stock after having CM7 on it for awhile. I used my mini Sd and mounted the image clockwork 3.2.x.x (I renamed the file so don't know the remaining #'s). This was after mounting the wrong one first because I followed a you tube video that was unfortunately out of date and I was getting errors with the Format Data part. Anyway, so I went into the Clockwork thing, and formated system and data with no issues, but when I went to do the apply chosen zip file for the Nook complete restore 1.0.1 that I had, it said No Files FOund. So I'm like, crap, I backed up and took the sd card out, and put it in my computer, figuring Icould just drop it in and try again, but when I put it in my macbook it doesn't show up at all? Any ideas on how to move forward? Do I need to get a new card and start from scratch? The battery is low, it never charges which is annoying. And it went to the silver N screen once for about an hour until I turned it off (it was attached to my computer via usb, now its plugged into the wall). I really appreciate any help you can give me, I've googled missing SD card but can't find anything. |

Woohoo! I did this "From full power off, hold down the "n" key (HOME key) and the power key. Keep BOTH held down until the screen flashes, then release the POWER key, but keep on holding down the HOME key. You should get the factory reset question where you hit the HOME key to answer yes, you will get that same screen a 2nd time, answer yes via the HOME key again." and it did some super reboot thing, so now it works!
But I still have no idea about the SD card? |

I originally thought I had backed up my stock setup before I did a manual root ~ then when I went back to try to restore it after getting something tangled up, I learned that I had used an image for the recovery SD that did not actually have enough room in it to hold a backup. When you write an image, the space in the image can be smaller than the space on the SD card (unless it is a "size agnostic" image which does some vodoo magic with its partitioning).
I believe I got the files not found message ~ there were some files inside the archive but not all that were needed because it was an incomplete backup. I found a 1.2 flashable kernal and installed it, after clearing out all caches, then downloaded the 1.4.1 update and let it do its thing, and then I was back in business.
