More help with translation please

I'm trying to prepare Daniel Duranda by George Eliot for the MR library. Each of the 70 chapters has an epigraph. The one for Chapter 3 is in French, and is a quotation from Moliere.

It reads:

Gorgibus: Je te dis que le mariage est une chose sainte et sacrée, et que c'est faire en honnêtes gens, que de débuter par là.

Madelon: Mon dieu! que si tout le monde vous ressemblait, un roman serait bientôt fini! La belle chose que ce serait, si d'abord Cyrus épousait Mandane, et qu'Aronce de plain-pied fût marié à Clélie! ... Laissez-nous faire à loisir le tissu de notre roman, et n'en pressez pas tant la conclusion.

Molière: Les Précieuses Ridicules.

I would be most grateful for a translation please. I can understand most of the phrases by themselves, but can't put them together to make sense.

They are talking about romance before marriage. Cyrus, etc. are the characters of romantic novels.

Forgive my basic english. It's just to give you an idea about the meaning.

Gorgibus: Je te dis que le mariage est une chose sainte et sacrée, et que c'est faire en honnêtes gens, que de débuter par là.

I tell you that the marriage is a holy and sacred thing, and it's to behave like honest people than beginning by it.

Madelon: Mon dieu! que si tout le monde vous ressemblait, un roman serait bientôt fini! La belle chose que ce serait, si d'abord Cyrus épousait Mandane, et qu'Aronce de plain-pied fût marié à Clélie! ... Laissez-nous faire à loisir le tissu de notre roman, et n'en pressez pas tant la conclusion.

God! If everybody looked like you (did the same), a novel would be soon over. It would be nice indeed if, first Cyrus was marrying Mandane, and if Aronce married Clélie right away!... Let us build our novel our way and don't make us hurry -to reach- the end.
