Could you please add YouTube for music or if the Kindle can't handle it, have Grooveshark for streaming. Pandora I think is a bit far fetched though and not worth it.

What you describe is a difference in the source code, not build differences.

Did you try the mplayer kindle binary from this site ?
Does it run as desired ?
Can you rebuild it and have it run the same as the binary ?
(tests your entire setup and direction following ability.)

Once past those steps - then try to change things (like a different source).

Do you mean you are running the script file ?
Or do you mean you are reading it as a list of directions ?

3G has its uses, but streaming media is not one of them.

The paperwhite 3 does not have a audio port, so what would be the point of having an mp3 player on the kindle? Which is what you linked to.

Notice the bottom line?
That means you will need after-market (us) add-ins.
Only there isn't any "us" here to do the work, other than yourself.
(If somebody else had wanted the feature, they would have done it.)

Alternatively you can buy a cheap $2 usb(otg) to audio adapter on eBay, Amazon... and also connect your headphones, at least it worked for me, one problem is that voiceView only language enabled is English, I would love have it on Spanish, but not so big problem

There is a thread or two here about getting Ivona's voices to work on the Kindles.

The application was based on iSpeech (with the addition of the Ivonia add-on voices - which at one time where free ).

One of the minor problems was Klingon.
No voice:male, name:Worf voice files, but one of the Russian voices was 'close enough'.
But there aren't a lot of e-book materials written in Klingon, so that probably isn't a show stopper.
