Dear All:

I know some of you have wanted to become members to have a chance in the contest!!

The eBook Store is now fully operational. The webmaster and the eBook Specialist went thru it completely! You can easily become a free member and enter the contest!

ALSO, you can now purchase eBooks from the site with confidence. Everything there is now working. ALL eBooks you see are fine to buy. We are waiting for the Agency Model eBooks to be added still; but what you see now... you will get!! We are still improving the site and will soon add PayPal... but all is working!

So, please become a member and try an eBook or two. Many of our eBooks are under $6 and we are constantly striving to lower the prices where we can.

Also... we have a new pay title from author Steven Lake. Steven writes great Science Fiction. Soon we will have one of his normal pay titles up FOR FREE just so you can try this outstanding author.

Not quite.

Try the Google Books. Can't get past page 1.

Try a search for books with China in the title. I first posted about the same titles cycling thru the found selections when the store first opened. Not fixed.

Also posted about possibility of keeping titles with two different formats side by side in found selections, instead of strewn here and there. There is enough space to have PDF and EPUB both on the same line. If you should click on the one showing PDF availability, you'd never know that it is also available in EPUB, if that's the case. You'd wind up having to go thru a few more pages of selections to see if indeed a second format is available.

Shoot, we love your enthusiasm dearly, Robertb. You're just not backed up by an efficient staff!

Yes, please mark which books are inaccessible to international buyers so that we don't get excited about a book, but when we proceed to pay for it we get a nasty surprise in the form of a notice saying we can't buy it...

Yes, we fully and completely intend to go global. There is a huge demand for English titles in China... but there is also a huge demand for Chinese tiles in America. Yes, Spanish is clearly needed. We are working on this and looking for the content... but everyone here is in tune with your line of thinking!!

Thank you. Yes, we all have enthusiasm and we are building up our staff. Our latest hire (eBook Website Specialist) is creative and really good. The problem is a lack of a forum for her to respond and we are getting that next.

Please do not feel they are not efficient... they are just handcuffed by not having the vehicles. My own enthusiasm pales compared to this new person. That eBook Store is her absolute passion! We are just hampered by getting her a permanent voice on that eBook Store and we are doing that with all haste. Once that is in place, this person and her staff will work wonders. Also, once the forum on MyEZread.com is running, the webmaster can make all the changes we already have told him to make (such as having EPUB and PDF titles shown side-by-side). Putting up a forum is a monstrous job for the webmaster. He is swamped and that means no time to do the other changes he knows need to be done.

Do I grow weary waiting? Hell YES!! I am the impatient one. "Don't tell me... show me". But I have looked into all of this with impatience and actual crankiness and they ARE working their butts off. We need more people. And we are going to hire more. Please delineate one more time about "same titles cycling through". I am not too bright and I do want to understand fully what you mean. I, personally, will check out the Google thing about not getting past page 1!

I would be interested in encouraging you in buying ebooks through your ebookstore however, at this point, it seems I need to provide an American address to do so but I'm Canadian!!!

I immediately checked the Google part of our website and 9 out of ten times it would not go past page 1.

This is a major fault and as soon as the webmaster is sttarting his morning in Taiwan he will fix this PRONTO!!

All our "pay" titles should be available to anuyone in the world. If you are talking pay titles just let me know, please!! Yes, you ARE right... we need to get you PayPal right away. I am always pestering the Evil PM to get this done. I will do this and will post when it is ready!!

Google absolutely floored us also when at the last second they said: "Oh, by the way, Google books on your website are strictly USA".

Their reasoning is that others in Italy, France, Canada may want to also carry Google eBooks. WHY that would be a problem if we also offered the Google eBooks in Canada they did not say.

We ARE still working with Google to at least add Canada!! And we want a lot more. Sometimes rules make no sense and this appears to be one. Google is a great firm and is helping us and I am very grateful. But, I would like YOU to be able to get the Google too!

They fixed it, sort of.

But try this. From your front page, enter china into the title search string. Leave it at all formats.

1st page of results, no problems. But notice the sequence of books following the book with red cover: China on the brink.

Okay, hit Next page. My my, it is now the first selection on page 2. Notice the squence of books following. same as on page 1.

Okay, hit Next page again. Well whaddya know. You get the same selections on page 3 as you did on page 2. And lookee here, there must be a lot of titles with China in it, cause the pull down jump to shows 18, and probably more.

We'll get there yet. A fully functioning estore, but much much faster if you get a webmaster that lives in the same time zone as you!
