I had just been wishing for such a website, although I'm with GtrsRGr8 - I suspect it will take me waaaaaay more than an hour to page through.

I wish there was a way to sort by price, to see the inexpensive ones first. I tried just adding "&sort=price-asc-rank" to the link, which works for regular e-books on Amazon, but that didn't work for this list. Sigh!

If anyone knows how to get this sorted by price, please post!!!

But in the meantime, thanks so much, @TrevorViking, the link is pretty awesome even without a price sort!!!

I'll bookmark it as soon as I can get to a _real_ computer, from this dumbphone that I have with me at the moment.

Ever a pessimist, and expecting something not to work (I get those characteristics from my father), there are a couple of things that make me wonder if I'll be able to use it much.

One is the fact that I have a _huge_ number_ of Kindle books (most of which were free, and I now think may be of dubious value), and it would take me much longer than an hour to scroll through all of them! Second is the fact that checking just once a week might not be sufficient--how often does Amazon lower the price of the Whispersync narration and then turn right around and increase the price again? Even being Mr. WhispersyncDeal, I don't know the answer to that. It might be that someone would need to check much more frequently than once a week.

But, what I said in my first paragraph still stands--it looks like a very useful website! I was thinking just now about what other good uses that I could make of the treasure trove of information on that webpage. I hope that other Mobilereaders will chime in with their thoughts . . . .

Maybe we could start a discussion on the "Christmas Bargains" thread, with our wishes for Christmas.

Whispersync Deals on Melinda Leigh's She Can Series--$3.89 or Less and $2.98 or Less.

Five of the Six Books in the Melinda Leigh She Can Series have Whispsersync deals for only $3.98 each at the present time. A sixth Book, which is a short story (of 59 pages), is only $2.98 (because the price of the ebook of it is $0.99, where it is $1.99 for the others).

The price of each ebook, by itself, is $1.99 for each of the 5 books. Now, here's something (else) interesting, and maybe will save you a little bit of money if you buy the whole set. Amazon states that if you buy all 6 books together, you will pay only $9.84 for the ebooks, saving you $1.10 (10%)--a nice, little extra discount. Since that 10% is spread out over all of the books in the series, you actually pay a little less than $3.98 (or $2.98, as the case may be) for each book, since the price of the audio portion of the WS deal stays the same (I assume).

Here's the webpage at Amazon for all six of the books in the She Can Series.

For Prime subscribers, check out the titles available on Prime reading which have Whispersync versions. You can borrow the ebook for free, then purchase the Audible at the whispersync price.

There are currently 360 titles listed for Prime reading with audio. I found 4 titles that seemed interesting enough to pick up at $2 each. The audio prices seem to range from 1.99 to 7.49.

Thanks! I'm not currently a prime member, so this is probably something that I wouldn't have learned about on my own.

There are still lots of WS deals out there (but then, if even a fraction of the Kindle ebooks have WS deals on them, that still is a huge number of ebooks because there are so many ebooks, in total, that Amazon sells). But I've learned where there are some nooks and crannies to look into, that I didn't know about before.

Nowadays, sorry to say, we can't go to a book's webpage and have much hope at all that an ebook will be on sale and, if it happens to have a WS narration, that it will be a low-priced WS deal, too, like we did in the old days. The median price now for WS narration on a Kindle ebook is probably either $7.49 or $12.49. Maybe that gives us the opportunity, though, to explore other authors and/or titles and find something new that we like.

$1.99 Audio (via a Whispersync Deal) on Toby Neal's Twisted Vine.

I searched off and on all day for some good Whispersync deals and had come up dry. I was about to hang it up for the day (it's 10:30 p.m. now). Then, this great WS deal appeared . . . .

How great of a deal is it? Buy the Kindle ebook for $0.00 (currently). Buy the Audible narration for $1.99. Then you've got yourself a WS deal. You can look at it that you get the book's audio for only $1.99! The audio is the same as what you would get at Audible.

The description of Twisted Vine (Lei Crime, Book 5), by Toby Neal:
Lei Texeira and Sophie Ang team up...
The island of Oahu is skyscrapers and rainforests, beaches and boutiques-instead, Special Agent Lei Texeira is drawn into a shadow world connected by death and the Internet. Mysterious suicides draw Lei and her team, including tech specialist Sophie Ang, to hunt a criminal who plays with the thin gray line between right and wrong. Lei stirs up a hornet's nest on the investigation as her past reaches out in a twisted vine of old loves, new technologies and dark vendettas.

It meets all of my high standards for posting--cheap price, of course; high difference between the price of the WS deal and the Audible audio by itself; great ratings; great "bang for the buck" (lots of listening time for that cheap price that I require).

Check it out for yourself here. Use the same webpage to buy the deal, if you like what you see.

The above Book is part of a 12-Book series (Lei Crime). I checked, and there are no WS deals on other Books in the series anywhere close in price to the one above.

However--and I know that this is off topic for this thread, but it is a followup to the previous one which was on topic--Blood Orchids (Lei Crime, Book 1) (the ebook only) is currently $0.00. Yes, that means free. However, the book apparently has no Whispersync audio narration, so there is no WS deal available for it. Follow this link if you're interested in the books by themselves.

Get a Great Whispersync Deal on a Sci-Fi/Thriller Book for Young People.

"Young people," for the purpose of this post, are those in grade level 4 - 12; age 8 - 18, the grade levels and ages for which this ebook would be suitable, according to Amazon.

The ebook is Trapped (The Prometheus Project Book 1), by Douglas E. Richards. As noted in the title of this post, it is a sci-fi/thriller.

"Trapped, and its sequels are part of the Accelerated Reader program."

You/your child can get the audio of this book for only $1.98! That's the price of the WS deal, which includes both the audio and the ebook (the math: Kindle ebook $0.00 + Audible audio $1.99 = $1.98). The audio, by itself, at Audible is $14.95!

I've checked, and the two other Books in The Prometheus Project do not have low-priced WS deals, as this prequel does.

This ebook meets all of my demanding standards for posting; the only thing that could make it better, in my mind, is that it be a little longer than its 192 pages (for the ole "bang for the buck" thing).

Description
A fantastic alien city buried deep underground. What wonders -- and what dangers -- is it hiding?

Ryan and Regan Resnick have just moved to the world's most boring place. But when they discover their parents are part of an ultra-secret project called Prometheus, they are plunged into a nonstop adventure: one that will be the ultimate test of their wit, courage, and determination. Soon they are under attack and facing hostile alien worlds, alien technology, and unimaginable dangers at every turn.

Now, their mother is facing certain death, and they must race to solve a seemingly impossible mystery to have any hope of saving her. But if they save their mom, they will have no way to save themselves.

Full disclosure: This book is a "Kindle Exclusive." Kindle Exclusives are available only at Amazon. Amazon has quietly (at least quietly to me) gone about building a huge publishing business, under its own name and also under the names of numerous imprints. From what I've seen, the quality of the ebooks that they publish themselves is "right up there" with the older, well-known publishers.

In fact, I'm thinking of having Amazon publish my great American novel. Whenever I can manage to get it started, and can manage to get it written.

Audio for Moon Child (Vampire for Hire Series) Available for Only $2.98, via WS!

There are 14 Books in the Vampire for Hire series. This one, Book 4, Moon Child, is the only one with a great Whispersync deal.

Why should you buy a WS (ebook + audio) deal, if you just want the audio alone? It's because sometimes buying a WS deal allows you to obtain the audio--the same as you can obtain at Audible- for much less than if you bought it outright from Audible!

The WS deal on this ebook is a good example. The price of the audio alone, at Audible, is $15.95. The cost of the WS deal is $2.98. Savings--$12.97 ($15.95 - $2.98).

As you might surmise, if you weren't already familiar with this long series, Vampire for Hire is about the paranormal.

The ebook meets all of my high standards for quality. The only thing that would make it better, in my eyes, is more pages (it's 222 now), in order to give (even) bigger "bang for the buck" in listening and reading. But I can be greedy at times.

https://www.amazon.com/Moon-Child-Va...dp/1546858296/.

Full disclosure: This ebook is in the Kindle Unlimited program. I know that you can borrow this ebook and read it (indefinitely?) if you have KU, but do you get to listen to the audio? If so, can you listen to it indefinitely? Someone else will need to answer that, because I dunno.

Get the Audio (and Ebook) of Arthur C. Clarke's The Sands of Mars for Less than $4!

The ratings on this ebook are marginal for posting, by my standards. It has a 4.1-star rating, from 72 ratings at Amazon, and a 3.72 average rating, from 2,674 ratings from the more critical raters at GoodReads.

But the author is no ordinary author, and the book is no ordinary book. Even this confirmed non-fictionist readily recognizes the name of the author, "Arthur C. Clarke." And the book The Sands of Mars, is Clarke's first published full-length science fiction novel.

The price for the Whispersync deal is only $3.98. Imagine that: getting the audio and ebook of this modern-day classic for less than $4!

Find out much more about the ebook and the WS deal by following this link.

This ebook is apparently the only one with a WS deal in the publisher's, Rosetta Books', Arthur C. Clarke Collection.

New Round of Kindle Exclusives--New Round of Possible Absurdly Cheap WS Deals.

Kindle sent me a notification, as they do every week about this time, of a new round of "Kindle Exclusives." If you've been a purchaser of Kindle books for a while, you may wish to skip the next two paragraphs; if you're a newbie, listen up.

Amazon and Audible create these things called "Whispersync deals;" they're mentioned on the webpages of the Kindle ebooks that have them. In short: you buy the ebook, and you can get the corresponding audiobook cheaper than you would by buying the audio by itself.

Kindle Exclusives (ebooks published by Amazon or one of its many imprints) generally have less expensive ebooks, to begin with, than non-Kindle Exclusives and, therefore, offer a greater likelihood of better WS deals. But when a Kindle Exclusive ebook, that has a WS deal for it, is marked down, the net price for the audio can become absurdly cheap.

This link is for my own custom search for only those ebooks which have WS audio narration and 4-star or above ratings, and they are sorted by price from low to high. But you don't need me--here's the "new" round of all of the Kindle Exclusive deals (I put "new" in quotation marks, because there are a lot of repeats). Amazon will let you search and sort these in a myriad of ways.

Fast-forward to 35 years later: Felix Sayers is a culinary writer living in San Francisco of Universe A who spends his days lunching at Coconut Café and dreaming of a successful career penning Agatha Christie-style mysteries. But everything changes when his Aunt Henrietta dies, leaving Felix a photograph of his father and himself - dated 10 days before Felix was born. It can only mean one thing: Felix has an "alter" in Universe B.

In a panic that his mystery novel may exist already, Felix crosses to San Francisco B and proceeds to flagrantly violate the rules of both worlds by snooping around his alter’s life. But when he narrowly escapes a hit-and-run, it becomes clear that someone knows he’s crossed over…and whoever it is isn’t happy about it. With the help of a trio of students and a Miss Marple-style detective, Felix must uncover the truth about his alter, the events of one Monday, and a wayward rubber duck before his time in both worlds runs out.

Honor thy father and thy mother.

Stress is a constant in Detective Miriam Rome's life due to her heavy caseload. Now she's facing an especially gruesome crime: a pediatrician's wife has been brutally murdered, and a Bible verse written in her blood is found at the scene. As the tranquil city of Union Park, Texas, is left reeling, Detective Rome pursues every possible lead in her search for the murderer.

When a second slaying - and second bloody quote - seems to confirm that a serial killer is at large, Rome is forced to turn to her former partner for his particular insight. Father Augustine Treece had walked away from police work, but now Rome's request has drawn him back into the grisly world he thought he'd left behind.

Working to stay ahead of the murders, Detective Rome and Father Treece must forgive their past to protect the next victim...a task that tests Rome's limits when the killer hits too close to home.

Destiny Jones is doing just fine on her own, thanks. From her thriving one-woman carpentry business to the loving support of her small-town community, Destiny has constructed a life as sturdy and polished as her best cabinets. Twenty years ago, Destiny's world collapsed when her mother died and her father, Albert, abandoned his daughter to pursue acting in New York. His devastating exit taught Destiny a lesson in self-reliance that has kept her safe - and alone - ever since.

Now Albert Jones is back, begging for a second chance. Destiny suspects he's simply staging another performance, starring himself as the prodigal father. Should she act on her misgivings? Or listen to her inner child, who still yearns for a family? When Albert divulges a shocking secret, Destiny's life will again be turned upside down.

Kathleen Long's warm, wise novel reveals that the armor that has protected us in the past is often the very thing we must shed to fully live and love.

Her second day doing doctoral research in the basement archives of Siddley Hall, England’s grandest Tudor home, American Antonia Townley finds the hall’s curator - with a knife plunged into his chest. Police suspect Antonia of being the killer because of two insignificant - to her - reasons, the first being the pesky matter of her fingerprints on the murder weapon. Then there is the unfortunate e-mail she had sent to her sister, saying she would kill for the curator’s job.

Hunky bachelor Frederick Percy, Lord Rockford of Siddley Hall, learns that the curator was on the trail of the Percy family monstrance, the most valuable monstrance in England before Henry VIII’s Dissolution. It had been believed that the family melted the gold and redistributed the monstrance’s jewels after the Dissolution. Frederick becomes convinced that the curator’s death is tied to the priceless artifact, and that finding it before the killer does can free Antonia from suspicion of murder. More importantly, Frederick vows to protect the beautiful scholar against the menacing forces working against her.

As Frederick and Antonia crisscross England seeking information on the Percy Monstrance, it becomes clear that someone is stalking her every move. She hopes to God Frederick’s not behind these threats, because she’s pretty sure she’s falling in love with him.

Today Only (?)--Fresh Slate of Whispersync Deals on Kindle Exclusives.

I got an email from Amazon today, telling about Kindle Books Deal of the Day.

Frankly, I don't know yet if any, or maybe all, of these ebooks are included in the Kindle Exclusives of the Week (see post #72) or are additional ones. I think that these are Kindle Exclusives that are marked down for today only, because they are called "Kindle Books Deals of the Day."

Since the deals seem to be good for today only, I wanted to go ahead and post the webpage with those Kindle ebooks, rather than take the time to vet the whole thing, then post later in the day and, as a result, have you potentially miss out on some great deals. So, that's what I'm doing now.

I did do a quick spot-check before starting this post, however. The first ebook shown is An Engineered Injustice (Philadelphia Legal series), by William L. Myers, Jr. The price for the entire Whispersync deal is $3.98 ($2.99-ebook + $1.99-audio narration). Taking a quick trip to Audible, I found that the audio (by itself, of course) there is $15.95. So, that deal is a great one, in my opinion.

I encourage you to go ahead and start looking on your own. Remember to use the search and sort features. You'll want to select "eBooks with Audible Narration," for sure (you are on the "Whispersync Deals" thread, remember ), in order to save yourself some time.

With Audible having moved to the West Coast, hopefully we'll have until 12 p.m. Pacific Standard Time to grab some great deals.

UPDATE: I perused the list of one of my favorite categories--"Biographies and Memoirs." Some of the titles are familiar, but the great majority, by far, are not.

$2.99 + $1.99 = $4.98, not $3.98.
