Books aren't showing up as "on device" when using KOReader

I recently went back to using KOReader on my Kobo, and for some reason now when I connect my device, there aren't any books showing up as "On device" in Calibre. They are there when I disconnect, but I can't tell which books are on the device and which from my library aren't.

I'm sure it's an easy fix, so can anyone help?

The problem is that the eBooks have not been imported into the Kobo database. Go back to Nickel and plug into your calibre library. Then eject. That should trigger the import.

Doesn't that mean there are going to be two copies on the device? One in Nickel and one in KOReader?

Not at all. There will only be one copy of the book.

What the import process does is to insert the book information in the Kobo database so Nickel and by extension calibre will be able to see the book. No additional copy of the book is created.
