Camp, Wadsworth: The House of Fear. v1. 09 Jul 2022

New York! If it had happened in some lonely, rotting house in the country! But in the heart of New York, within a few feet of Broadway!

Formerly a police detective, now a successful Broadway theatrical manager, Arthur McHugh intends to re-stage a play from forty years ago, which is noted for the fact that esteemed actor and director Bertrand Woodford collapsed and died during a performance.

In the ensuing years, the Woodford Theater has acquired the unsavory reputation of a haunted place. Now, during rehearsal, the actor playing the same role collapses and dies at the same point in the play. Strange and frightening sights and sounds are terrifying cast and crew.

McHugh would probably have been wiser never to have attempted the revival.
