Windows 10 Developer Preview Problem
Be aware there is a bug with developer preview of Windows 10 x64 that renders the Kobo Aura HD non functional w/ side loading or being recognized with Kobo app on last 6 or so Fast Track releases. Could have been in developer builds longer but that was when i noticed issue after connecting device.
Issue is not reproducible on production systems. Windows recognizes device upon connecting to usb but device cannot be accessed or read from or written to. It is not recognized by kobo app and sideloading ebooks does not work. On production system kobo device works fine so i am not too worried. But for those that are running developer preview your kobo will not work for at least some subset of devices. Not sure how many devices or firmware versions are affected. I tried resetting device and it did connect once after reset but was non functional in windows after it finished updating. Resetting again did allow brief access but issue reoccurred after device reboot. Device was still usable on production system. Software for device was fully updated to current firmware. |

There has been some discussion about this near the end of the Firmware 3.19.5761 thread.
