Calibre Versions

I have an old Dell Optiplex that is my TV, Reader off-line machine. I want to use the Calibre viewer but the ONLY downloads that show versions specific to a Windows operating system are for Windows 7 & Windows 8 & later. I'm running Windows XP! Does anyone know what the latest version of Calibre that ran on Windows XP is?

You can try the last Windows 7 version and see if that works.

Is there any reason you cannot upgrade to Windows 7?

Or Linux on a Flash drive (dual boot without modifying the HD)?
1.48 is the last reliable Calibre for XP (Kovid pulled 2.0 as there were so many folk with problems. I do have it running on an old Dell GX60. but it seems to be the outlier case)
