Would you consider creating a custom column for urls as well?
Will this new column be available in the update today? |

I don't think there will be an update today. Usually I would expect the release to have been published last night (which is sometime Friday afternoon where Kovid is).
The release schedule has changed a bit, we don't get releases every Friday, just most of them -- sometimes there aren't enough changes to make it worth the while. You can use a custom column formatted as HTML for urls... Last edited by eschwartz; 07-29-2016 at 10:41 AM. |

"Like Comments" has always been HTML-formatted.

Kovid, I have just noticed that when editing the new column type, the usual frame around the inline cell editing box appears to be missing. This is a bit ugly and makes it hard to distinguish between the different cells.
Other than that, it is great I moved over a couple old columns immediately -- I just haven't edited that column since then... Last edited by eschwartz; 08-28-2016 at 05:17 PM. |

@Tanjamuse - if you're looking to have a clickable link in a book list cell (something like the Author Link cells in Manage Authors), I don't think you can do that with the new feature
Pity, that would have been handy for me too. BR |

If you put something like this <a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/crotchety">Crotchety</a> into the HTML panel then you get something like this. Perhaps Kovid or chaley could implement 'Ctrl+left button mouse click' on such links BR Last edited by BetterRed; 08-28-2016 at 08:25 PM. |
