PC does not recognize Max Lumi 2...
When I connect my Max Lumi2 device to my pc, my pc doesn't recognize it as a new hard drive. All that happens is that I am able to charge the device's battery. I am having trouble getting any files into my device for me to read on the device. I tried turning on "USB debug" as recommended in someone else's post but it had no effect.
I found solutions saying to "enable file transfer" but no one explains HOW. |

You have a choice somewhere in the USB settings.
There's MTP, PTP and none of the above. ADB is a separate option. If your PC is Windows, the first thing to check is whether your PC goes "bong" when you plug in your Lumi2. You may have a bad cable, a bad Lumi2 connector or nothing enabled. MTP enables you to see file in Windows File Explorer. ADB enables you to manually transfer files or use utilities to transfer files. Me, I just use ADB to synchronize all my devices. You'll need to load drivers for ADB and the ADB client program itself. Google "minimal ADB". |

Solution is probably in the manual...

No, I think the answer is on page 11 of the manual where it discusses the "notification panel." There it shows a drop down box where you can turn on "USB file transfer." What it DOESN'T explain, however, is HOW to get that box to drop down. I have tried swiping evry which way and tapping everything on that page and still can't get that menu to appear. |

If you have a terminal program installed you can:
Code:
$ getprop|grep usb |
