It is officially Black March
Were you one of the ones who jumped on the SOPA/PIPA blackout bandwagon because it was the ‘IN’ thing to do, did you get all ‘warm and fuzzy’ signing the online petitions? Do you even remember SOPA/PIPA/ACTA? Do you want to make a difference?

It wouldn't be too difficult. My TBR pile can easily keep me going for 3-4 months.

I'm pretty sure I was going to do that in March regardless. Books are the only thing on the list I ever partake of anyway—and I'm pretty much covered there for the next several months.
WOOT! Look at me protestin'. |

Don't think its going to go too far.
In videogames March = Mass Effect 3 so there goes any blackout. (Even if it has its own share of consumer-annnoying "innovations".) |

Yeah, I think I'll continue supporting Baen books and other people doing it right.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri0vrJ-y2zM Loved ME1, playing ME2 at the moment, but having read about the DLC for ME3, I honestly don't think I'm going to bother. I'm all for DLC that builds the world more, provides new quests and background information, but this sounds like such a HUGE plot element that it should never have been DLC. I say "don't think" as until the game actually ships and we hear more about it, it may turn out to be a non-issue, so I'm withholding final judgement until I know more, but if it turns out to be as rumoured, then it's going on my boycott list too (the fact it's published by EA doesn't help either). PS Game will be "boycotting" ME3 as well, sadly my guess is that's because they can't afford to buy any stock Turns out they weren't lying about not making much off new games and needing pre-owned to survive. (shrug) I loved ME1 (great RPG with a fantastic finale), was less than entused by ME2 (it's a shooter in RPG drag saved by memorable characters), and I'm really worried by the demo for ME3. Good point about BAEN, too. I just picked up a pair of bundles today, too. I'm not a fan of throwing out the baby with the bathwater and I don't think penalizing the good guys for the sins of others is a good way of protesting. |

I'm not joining any movement just because a bunch of slacker 20-something script-kiddies are backing it. I did put SOPA boycotts on my blogs for a couple of weeks. But guess what? Raising a fuss worked. Or at least killed the bill in its prior form. So yeah, I do feel all warm and fuzzy about that.

I don't have much to worry about. Considering I got Skyrim a week or so ago, and that'll probably get me through til....October.
