We do have an especially good list here this month. Tough to choose.

I'm probably going to wait until the last minute to vote. I have a couple of these on my hard drive already, but I'm not sure which one I'd like to read right away, or if I'd like to take a chance on one of the other ones.

I just started reading Berserker today. So, I vote for something else. But, I voted very quickly for Penal Colony. I really enjoyed Refuge so it was a no brainier that I want to read penal colony.

Yes, you should like Penal Colony, Bob. It's a good read. I voted for Union Of Renegades because it's one of the only two on this list I haven't read yet.

I voted for Tide Mill, partly because I nominated it and partly because I haven't read it yet

I voted for The Moon And The Sun simply because I hadn't heard of it before.

"The Moon And The Sun", too. It looked interesting - and probably the only one of the nominated books that I'm really interested in reading right now. Let's see

I'm hoping Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I or Hal Spacejock wins. Not that any the others are bad choice. For me it is because I've never (yet) read anything from these two authors. But I think enough people have read Hal Spacejock that it won't win.

The only problem i have with voting for that book is that it is the first of a series. And, I really like the MRBC selections to be a 1 off book. Also, Neptune Crossing is the first of a series, but I got the impression it wasn't like part of a story as a "book 1" of 3 or more would be.

Neptune Crossing is a book 1 of a series.

But, if I like book 1, I'll get the next book.

It helps that all the books in the series are free right now too.

(Of course if you like them I'm sure Starrigger would appreciate a donation)

Actually, Richard Herley's books are "shareware" pay if you like them books. But, he only asks for $1.50 per book.
