Unread ebooks
How many unread ebooks do you own? I'm not too bad in that department but I have questioned myself why I am buying another ebook when I haven't finished the one I previously bought.

Me too
EDIT: of my own number of unread ebooks. I have no clue what Cinisajoy's number of unread books is. Last edited by binaryhermit; 10-20-2017 at 09:14 PM. Reason: Clarity |

I do not track read vs unread. I just find one I want to read and read it. Sometimes it is new to me and others it is a reread.

I lost count as well. I'm on the Ebook Addicts Thread for a reason. Due to Whispersync and other great deals, I have 580 audiobooks (about 10% are novellas or short stories) that are still awaiting listening. Ebooks over 600, but some are duplicates (whispersync). Currently, only buying books that are part of my book club or to fill in series that I am reading. My buying has dropped off a LOT in the last 2 years, so I should catch up eventually.
I started tracking due to Ebook Addicts Thread. All purchased books go into a Calibre library marked Purchased. Audiobooks have their own Calibre library. I mark everything when read so it's easy to sort read and non-read. edited to add: I don't count freebees unless I've read them or they are part of a series I have started reading. More than I could read in several lifetimes. I've picked out those I want to read most. Hopefully I can finish them before I die...

Since I still often have a problem where I'll grab many freebies that sound interesting and then never get around to reading it (although I'm getting better about this)? I have thousands of unread books.

I have more than I thought I did. Converted a bunch of my previous (unread) B&N books for use on my new PW3. I need to pick up my reading speed. I looked at how many books I have, ran the numbers with how many books I read a month - and I have over 20 YEARS worth of unread books!

I don't count. There's lots. But I often find myself finishing one book in a waiting room somewhere, and not knowing what I want to read next. Fortunately, I have a whole bunch waiting on the ereader!

Lots. But as most of my purchases are replacing print versions which have been read I'm not bothered.

Unread ebooks?
Probably no more than a Googolplexian, I'd say. |

With the exception of Binaryhermit, did you notice that the rest of us with unending unread books also have many reading gadgets? And that list is limited to the allowed space on the left (or more gadgets would be listed).
