Shelley, Mary: Frankenstein (1818), v1, 3 Dec. 07
This is the first published version of 'Frankenstein', from 1818.
The most commonly available version is the revised 1831 edition, (e.g. it's the one on Project Gutenberg). The 1831 version differs in a number of respects from the original; primarily aimed at making it less controversial, and more suitable for the general readership the publishers had in mind. im reading the 1831 edition now.Real good so far,the sickness part doesnt realy matter, though the "desire to become a colonial administrator" DOES feel kinda artificial,
unnormal and non-natural. |
