Excellent details, LVD! Any word on when this one will be released? Or where it'll be available?

Believe it when I see it. I've seen to many readers that "are coming to the US" that just never seem to arrive.

same for the EU on many devices...^^

I'd like to get some details on formats and battery-life...especially how the page-count is calculated and whether you have to switch the device off to get a month of battery...

Or better...just send me a sample...

We await our models from the plant at the end of May. During June we want to send out them for the testing. I will compulsorily place one in the reserve for you. ---- There can be small delay in the production of first party, approximately 2 weeks.

Hopping up and down to get a sample device for free :-)
You never know. It may work. I can alternatively offer chicken sacrifice.

I see some sane design decisions. No fancy WLAN or Bluetooth which only drains the battery. Also no high-speed USB for the same reason. The SD cards are good enough to transfer bigger amounts of data.

Are there any plans to sell in the UK, or at least make it easily available here?

I'd be happy to organize focus group usability testing on non-technical users in the U.S. I can get you written reports from 20 users -- all ages, different levels of computer experience, all people who love books and could be very interested in this device-- if you can provide a test unit. I've done usability focus group work professionally. PM me if interested.

Edit: Also, I work at a university, so I can show it to faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, etc. I think there will be a lot of interest.

Yvan, I live in the northeast US. It's not impossible... but I'm not making the drive.
