Don't get 10.0.9. Get the alpha version of DeDRM.

Has anyone seen any official word of why version 10.0.9 has been a "pre-release" version since 02 August 2023 (i.e., for about 1-1/2 years)? I haven't had any trouble with the version I've been running forever, so I never updated. But, I'm constantly seeing recommendations for this pre-release version that never graduates to release status.
The Alpha version is from Nov 2024.

Yep, well that'd better than nothing. It's still a far cry from just pointing it at a directory and saying import everything though.

But in fact even that won't work for a 'My Kindle Content' dir, will it? I don't think so. For each book is in a dir of its own inside that dir. When in win10 I open a dir and select a book I'll lose that selection when I go back to the file tree in explorer and open the next dir.

So I have no choice but work through them one at a time. I think.

Perhaps do a quick and dirty install. I think I remember years ago doing something like that. Pointed calibre at the root dir and it imported I think the .azl, the .phl and the .md file and I got all this rubbish in my library. Freaked me out at the time. But i'm thinking now if it happened again: deliberately, I could search on those extensions and bulk delete?

Not seen that feature in Windows File Explorer. I've added a shortcut to calibre.exe into the Windows Send To folder to achieve the same result.

Jon, please read the thread before responding. Take a look at message #5 in this thread for instance.

Click on the arrow on the right side of the Add Books icon. Click on Add from folders and subfolders. Answer the prompt. Relax while calibre does the heavy lifting.

No, you don't. If you find you have added multiple unwanted formats, just select all the books, right click, select Remove Books => Remove files of a specific format from selected books, select the formats you want to remove and click OK.

Well that's the saver: 'removes files of a specific format..' I didn't know what was there. I was speculating I could bring them all in - I posted that somewhere - and then remove the 'trash' and this will make it easier.
