Author and Title mixed up

I am rather new to Calibre and am currently struggling with two (minor) problems after having set up the programme on my new computer. After editing a book title and adding the cover i want to export the file to my ebooks folder.

I just want the ebook file as such, nothing else. For this, I choose the option Save to Disk > Save only EPUB format to disk in a single folder. What happens is, however, that the corresponding files (jpg and opf) are also transferred to my folder. On top of this, the author and the title are swapped. Author has become title and vice versa! Although the order is still correct in the Calibre menu, it no longer is after having sent the file to my ebook folder. Very odd, and I did not have these two problems on my old computer.

Is this a known issue (I could not find anything) and is there a remedy?

Probably because you changed the Preferences->Save to Disk settings:
