It's interesting that in Overdrive.com, author searchers include those who write the forewords for books. Wish there was an option for searching_for/filtering_by endorsers.

It's got nothing to do with the format - somebody has to create the metadata to load into the database in the first place. So there's a nice little project for you.

Besides - the Stephen King with a little snippet quoted on the cover may not be the author Stephen King.

Probably Google and/or Amazon do have all (or lots more than reviewed book and a name) the information about people leaving reviews. Google sells that. Amazon may only use it for their own marketing.

And if anyone can remember the name of a prolific blurb writer for movies who once commented that he never let not having seen the movie affect his ability to write a blurb for it.
