Kindle 3 USB Networking
I want Kindle3 use PC's shared internet connection through USB.
Reason: the WiFi only Kinlde3 I got has a broken wifi module. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=102138 Already installed jb and usbNetwork in the Kindle 3 successfully. I can telnet into the kindle from my PC. I shared the internet connection in the PC. After set the default gw and dns server, I can ping google.com from the kindle3. But I still cannot use the browser and cannot connect to the kindle shop. I checked other threads about usb networking, they are about K2 and DX. Something need to config, bu K3 is different, it doesn't have "/opt/amazon/ebook/config/browser_prefs". Any other config should I do to let my kindle browse through usb network? You should call CS about the WiFi issue. Amazon is very liberal about replacing Kindles if there is a problem.
