Das Kindle Tab ist zum Lesen gedacht, nicht für Videos, etc. Da reichen 7" vollkommen aus. Dein Kindle 3 kommt mit dem 6" ja auch gut zurecht.

Oh, ich kenne da. drei Dutzend Eltern von Kindergartenkindern und Grundschülern, welche die Größe ideal für ihre Kinderhände finden. Und der Chef meiner Frau ist auch ganz froh, wenn es das Amazon Teil seinen Kindern kaufen kann, damit er nämlich wieder Zuhause an sein IPad rankommt ;-).

Also wenn man nur ein bischen Filme schauen will, surfen oder Bücher lesen will, würde auch mir das Format reichen, weil man es bequem mitnehmen kann. Ab und zu schaue ich Filme wie die Harald Schmidt Show auch auf meinem Handy mit drei Zoll, und selbst das reicht, wenn man nicht gerade Fussball schauen will.

Klingt ja alles ganz gut und nett aber ich warte lieber auf das 10" tablet.
7" sind mir zu klein, und zum lesen habe ich meine 6"/10" devices.

Mal sehn was schneller kommt : 10" Kindle tablet oder iPad 3

Der Silk-Browser mit der Super-Cache-Lösung in der Amazon-Cloud zur Verkürzung der Ladezeiten ist eine interessante Idee, aber natürlich auch der Versuch, wirklich alles an Nutzerinformationen abzuschöpfen was drin ist. Zum Browser vgl. zB. hier via PC-World, dort auch zu Datenschutzbedenken.

Und die was die Geräte selbst betrifft: Ehrlich gesagt, für mich ist da kein Kaufanreiz dabei.

Gut ist das alles noch mittelbar für die bei Amazon vertretenen Autoren, denn mit der vorhersehbar noch weiteren Verbreitung der Geräte erweitert sich auch der Absatzmarkt. Wenn sie denn gefunden werden, die einzelnen Autoren.

Tja, leider kommt das Tablet (wie auch die Kindle Touch-Geräte) erstmal nur in den USA auf den Markt. Wer eins haben will, muss den gleichen Zoll-Firlefanz mitmachen wie bei einem Kindle DX...

Der Silk-Browser ist für mich eher ein KO-Kriterium für das Tablet. Wahrscheinlich werden die Webseiten schneller geliefert ABER dafür weiss Amazon genau welches Tablet welche Webseite aufgerufen hat. Und da das Tablet bestimmt bei Amazon registriert werden muss kann man auch gleich sagen welcher Nutzer welche Seiten aufgerufen hat. Das ist dann wie bei Facebook wo alles über dich gespeichert ist was du jemals über Facebook gemacht hast. Auch wenn es vor 3 Jahren war... Daten löschen ? Wer's glaubt wird selig. Wer kann das denn schon überprüfen.

Nur, um das Ganze ins Verhältnis zu rücken: Amazon weiß schließlich auch über alle Buchkäufe Bescheid, kennt die Lesegeschwindigkeit des Nutzers, seine Notizen, führt eine Liste der ans Gerät gesendeten Dokumente, kennt alle angesehenen Produkte auf ihrer Webseite etc.
Silk ist da nur eine logische Konsequenz aus der Tatsache heraus, dass fast alle Konsumenten sich nicht daran stören lassen.

Ja, ich finde es auch immer erstaunlich, worüber man sich aufregen kann.

Amazon kennt noch meine ersten Einkäufe von 1998, und das wird nicht daran liegen, dass ich denen in guter Erinnerung geblieben bin.
Warum sollten die die auch vergessen? Amazon ist ein Shop, der seinen Kunden (mitunter) relevante Produkte empfiehlt, je nach dem bisherigen Kauf- und Suchverhalten.

Das hat mit dem "Ihr gehört alle mir!"-Gehabe von Facebook nichts zu tun.

Der Fire wird, im Gegensatz zu beiden Touch Edition, wahrscheinlich nie oder wenn, dann viel, viel später, in Europa angeboten. Der Preis ist so gut weil es mit dem kompletten Video Angebot verbunden ist, und das ist weit, aber weit weit weg für Deutschland. Solange Amazon kein kompletten Cloud und Video Prime hier anbietet, wird es auch kein Fire geben. Das ist mir jetzt, als ich den Amazon Event live verfolgt habe, auch sehr klar geworden.

Die Frage für mich ist, ob der Touch nach dem Black Friday uns zur Verügung stehen wird, oder ob wir es erst nach Weihnachten bestellen können.
