PW2 PW2 5.4.5.1 Unable to update Jailbreak Hotfix, Update your kindle greyed out

Hi.

I am currently jailbroken all hacks and kual is working fine. It is just that i want to update to latest JB Hotfix. After putting this file "Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.16.N_install" in the root when i try to update my PW2 the update your kindle is greyed out. Incidentally, the jailbreak hotfix files is deleted after ejecting Kindle from computer.

I tried putting JB hotfix bin file in mr packages but it is destroyed. Please note MrPackages are all getting installed it is just this JB hotfix bin file that is not installing.

I tried to run Mrpackages from home search and not experimental browser :Mrpi log something but nothing happens.

I am always on offline mode and have deleted all wifi access points. I have backdoor lock installed as well as update.bin.tmp.partial folder and Updates-backup folder in my root directory.

I disabled backdoor lock before trying this.

Please guide me how i can update to lates Jb Hotfix.

copy Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.16.N_install.bin, and Update_KUALBooklet_e3deabf_install.bin to E:/mrpackages (Windows) or /Volumes/Kindle/mrpackages (macOS)

Then safely eject Kindle from your PC.

On your Kindle, at the Home screen, search box enters ";log mrpi" to MRPI to install KUAL and JB hotfix.

First file is hotfix I get it, but the second file is it Kual (Coplate )??? The kual cooplate got updated now. Can you please check if the new file to install along with jb Hotfix is Update_KUALBooklet_eb7e23d_install.bin???

Earlier before posting this thread, I tried installing Update Jb Hotfix file by placing in Mrpackages folder and running same command ":log mrpi" but nothing happened and also by using Kual Helper option Install Mrpackages but the Jb hotfix is again destroyed by mrpackage. Please note other Mrpackages are getting installed using Kual helper option Install Mrpackages.

Please confirm if the coplate file is right? Also one last thing I updated Kual by placing it in documents folder and all extensions are working with new Kual file. So I am confused whether original kual booklet. bin file should be installed first or take Kual coplate booklet .bin file?

I fetch those from the site a week ago.

Since NiLuJe made some updates yesterday, then some filename has been updated, you may download update build as following

- JailBreak-1.16.N-FW-5.x-hotfix.zip (Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.16.N_install.bin - JB hotfix).
- KUAL-eb7e23d-20221002.tar.gz (Update_KUALBooklet_eb7e23d_install.bin - for KUAL)

Hi. I tried what you asked me to do. The command ":log mrpi" doesnot give any results or message on screen. So I tried to install the packages using Helper+ option install mr packages.

Jailbreak hotfix was destroyed but it installed the Kual Coplate file. Then the device ui booted. and File Kual book appeared besides my Kual Launcher. Out of the two files when i clicked the new kual file it gave me white blank screen. and asked me to restart since the file couldnot open properly.

After that I went ahead and tried to put Jb hotfix file in root still the option update your kindle was greyed out. Also, the helper+ extension still destroyed the file in Mrpackages folder without installing it.

Since your method didnt help me to install jb hotfix I decided to undo changes. So I flashed this file Update_KUALBooklet_eb7e23d_uninstall.bin and uninstalled Kual Coplate.

Though your method didnt help me flash jb hotfix, I am still thankful to you. I will need to take another approach if anyone can guide me successfully to install latest jb hotfix.

I used semi colon and not colon. Sorry for typo error in my earlier reply. I typed ; still the jb hotfix didnt work. May be some other tip can help.
