Troubleshooting How to solve unable to register Kindle DX after factory reset

Hi all, if you have this problem, the solution is very simple, the problem is that the Factory reset changes the system time, and the certificate used to connect to Amazon won't work with the time in the Kindle (the systems sees the certificate with a date in the future, so the certificate is invalid)
All we need to do is change the Kindle System time.
I'll work in a hack, but for now these are the steps I followed:

Apply all updates from Amazon Page: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...deId=201504450
Install de usbNetwork hack to kindle as described here: https://www.pcworld.com/article/2595...c_display.html
Log in the kindle via telnet and change de time: date -s '2019-12-12 12:34:56'

That's all, now my kindle is regietered and downloads my books.

Just to note, this issue also occurs with the Kindle 2.

Reports suggest that the loss of date can also happen when:
the device performs certain other kinds of resets - I noticed it after my Kindle 2 locked up and then hard reset
the device's power gets low enough

I've been looking for a way to rid my DX of Librerator. Will a factory reset do that safely?

My K1 resets time when it connects to cellular, but no longer connects to Kindle Store (uses Sprint not AT&T). I think USB load probably still works, but have not tried it.
