iPhone backup extractor works with iPad and iTunes 9
Only FYI.
I've been able to extract some files from the backup. It seems ebooks in iBooks are stored in sqlite files. |

not a huge surprise. apple's a huge fan of sqlite and uses it for tons of data storage, just check out Mac OS X (which the iphone's OS is based). the oft-rumored successor to hfs+ was to be a database based storage system. microsoft is often said to be working on the same thing (one of the features of vista that was later dropped).
