I found a series of short stories, 7 in all, on Internet Archive, all published in the Sunday Star, Washington DC, in 1921-22. This were not enough to make a reasonable book, so I added a novelette I found in the same place, and it is the novelette which gives the book its main title.

Thanks for this. The Ling Ti stories are new to me; great find!

I don't mind short books, as long as they are identified as such. HBJ's stories do lend themselves to bundling into anthologies, though.
