Default Calibre import folder
Using Calibre on OS X Yosemite
When I download books from wherever, I put them into my "Download" folder. When I 'Add Books' using Calibre GUI, it always chooses my "Documents" folder to select books. Obviously I can navigate to the right location, but being lazy, I wondered if I can tell Calibre to remember where my freshly downloaded books are likely to be. |

All calibre file dialogs remember the last used location. If it is not being remembered on your machine something is going wrong. You can try running calibre ind ebug mode (click the preferences menu) and see if anything useful is output there. You can also add books by drag and drop from finder onto the calibre book list.

Thanks Kovid. I just put a dummy document in the appropriate folder and added it into Calibre. Thereafter Calibre just goes back to the same place as it should.
