Sigil and Stanza
Hello everybody,
I'm new on this forum, but I've got a question. I'm a self-publisher (Dutch and Frisian language). I make my e-books with Sigil. My latest e-book is very well readable on my own Sony, the validation went very well: no mistakes. However, one of my readers informed me that some chapters are not displayed on her iPod en she sees a lot of empty pages. She uses the latest version of Stanza in combination with iOS5. Is this a known problem and what can I do to fix this? By the way, she cán read the book in Bluefire. |

Not really Sigil, but probably an issue in the CSS or some things in the HTML. If you can post an excerpt, please do. If that is not possible, let me know.

This is the css, or is'nt that what you mean? I could send you the book, if you want to.
/* ===================== Headings ===================== */ h1.book-title { font-size:500%; font-style:bold; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0.5em; text-align:center; text-indent:0em; line-height:1.2em; } /* ===================== Paragraph ===================== */ p.half-title { font-size:210%; margin-top:5em; font-weight:bold; margin-bottom:3em; color:#808080; text-align:center; text-indent:0em; } p.author { font-size:x-large; margin-top:2em; margin-bottom:0.5em; font-weight:bold; text-align:center; text-indent:0em; } p.author1 { font-size:150%; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:center; text-indent:0em; } p.editor { font-size:small; margin-top:10em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:center; text-indent:0em; } p.copyright { font-size:x-small; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:0em; } p.copyright1 { font-size:x-small; margin-top:2em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:0em; } p.para { font-size:small; margin-top:8em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:0em; } p.indent-para { font-size:medium; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:1.0em; } p.right-para { font-size:small; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0.50em; text-align:right; text-indent:0em; } p.image { margin-top:1em; margin-bottom:1em; text-indent:0em; text-align:center; } p.linespace { font-size:small; margin-top:1.0em; margin-bottom:0em; } /* Character Style Definitions */ span.smallcaps { font-size:75%; } svg { height:100%; width:100%; } img { max-width:95%; } p.para1 { font-size:medium; margin-top:1em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:0em; } span.big { font-weight:normal; font-size:260%; float:left; margin-top:-0.5em; margin-bottom:-0.5em; } .extract { font-size:small; font-weight:normal; font-style:italic; margin-top:1em; margin-bottom:0em; margin-left:2em; margin-right:2em; text-indent:0em; } .extract1 { font-size:small; font-weight:normal; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0em; margin-left:2em; margin-right:2em; text-indent:1.0em; } .extract2 { font-size:small; font-weight:normal; font-style:italic; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:0em; margin-left:2em; margin-right:2em; text-indent:0em; } div.pagebreak { page-break-before:always; } |

Stanza and Sigil
No pagebreaks to be found. There is a part 'newpage' though. Would that have the same effect?
This is the beginning before the text starts:

Einum

|

If you spot a lot of those "wpo-newpage" throughout the book, take a look in the CSS for:
div.wpo-newpage OR wpo-newpage And copy/paste that section for us. |

Hi:
Can you tell me where you are using this: Code:
p.para { font-size:small; margin-top:8em; margin-bottom:0em; text-align:justify; text-indent:0em; } Code:
span.sgc-3 {font-size: 33px; font-weight: bold;} Hope that helps. Hitch |
