Feature Req: Sync notes and highlights back to Calibre

Is it possible to sync notes and highlights made on Kindle into Calibre similar to the way amazon does with books purchased through them?

With the Kindle connected, use the 'Fetch annotations' feature. Note that this does not work with the K3, only the K2 as discussed in this thread.

Thanks, Glad to see ticket is already open...

What do developers think of this idea: share annotations with others through Calibre website? I realize that it's not a simple (or a single) feature and requires creation of a community portal arcitecture from scratch.
