Aura HD: I like this size
I had a Kindle PW I lost a few days ago, I still have my PRS 950 cos I am not parting with that one, before I had a Nook and a Hanlin V3? V5? I can barely remember. Notably, the Nook and the PRS 950 has the same physical size 199.9 × 128 for the PRS 950 and the Nook 196 x 125.
Along comes the Aura HD with a 175.7 x 128.3 -- shorter maybe but a rather familiar width. There must be something about the 125-128mm width which makes an ereader easy to hold. It can't escape one's notice how the duodecimo book size at 18.7 × 12.7 is notably close. I was bothered with how the Kindle PW is just 169 mm x 117 mm. That's too small for my liking. Yes, I noticed and a centimeter / half inch does matter. Yet he bezel is narrower than of the PRS 950 so the screen actually is wider. The bezel is still wide enough to comfortably rest my thumb on it. Very well done. Last edited by bean; 11-20-2013 at 12:29 PM. |

I concur. And I absolutely don't understand why manufacturers don't make more good 7" and 8" ereaders. A page in a typical paperback novel is 8" diagonally and it is already a strain on the eyes for most of the older people to read. If someone came up with a decent 8" ereader they would be selling them like hot cakes...
