For how much did you sell your K2 to buy K3?

I listed mine on CL for $130 and immediately had 7 offers, making me wonder if I priced it too low. This is K2 US only by the way.

I actually bought my K2i a few days after I preordered the K3...had never owned a kindle and wanted to know what it had in store for me. I bought it for $100 BIN on eBay with free shipping. A week before launch, I threw it back onto eBay for $130 and it sold within an hour.

What I can't figure out is, why are people still buying these like hotcakes when the kindle wifi is only $140...maybe they really want the 3g that badly but not enough to shell out the $189? Maybe they don't know about the K3? Who knows...but they sure hold their value, which is a confidence builder, really.

I sold my K2 with the Amazon kindle cover almost a month ago for $200 on CL. More than enough to pay for my K3 with 3G.

There are people out there that are ignorant of current events...
I would be hard pressed to buy a K2 for anything over $100

I've sold a number of my surplus readers recently on eBay. None has sold for less than $150; the one that sold for the highest price was a Sony PRS-600, which went for about $230.

eBay is a whole different monster... it amazes me what people will pay for items there. I dont know if it is ignorance or they get caught up in the whole auction thing and must win the item when they bid.

I look through craigs list all the time and routinelly find K2's for right about the $100 range and not the BN nook is finding itself on there for about the same price. I actually happen to have a wifi nook with cover sitting on my computer desk that I snaked up for $100 and I have a guy getting back to me on a 3G nook with cover for $110.

Maybe I should just buy all the ones that I find and toss them on eBay

I bought my wife's Kindle when Woot had them for $150 on 7/1. The day that the K3 was announced I sold it on eBay in 58 minutes for $150 with a DecalGirl skin on it. The only problem was with the eBay fees, shipping, and the PayPal gouge, the cost of selling it was $37. I could have waited a week or so and probably made money on it.

Dang. Looks like the WIfi+3G is currently going for around $249. Might be tempting, but by the time eBay and Paypal take their cut out of the $60 profit, there's not much left.
