[Old Thread] Calibre pdf to mobi converson error

I recently received the following error when trying to convert a pdf ebook to mobi. My operating system is windows 7 and I am using Calibre 0.7.1

pdftohtml.exe has stopped working:

I converted a pdf to both MOBI and EPUB and both did not convert correctly, no error messages were generated. Duplicated letters and spacing askew. An example of the first page should read:
I need some
I need some
Error line reads:
II n

n eeeedd ssoom

m ee
The error followed an embedded graphic in 2 places. Is this an error built into the calibre conversion software common to PDF with graphics
