Distorted Cover Graphic

In placing my ebook's cover into Calibre, the output is distorted. Any suggestions on how to get around that?

Choose a high resolution cover. Also, if the format you are using is ePub, check the cover XML and make sure it's correct. If it's using an SVG container, then the numbers have to match the resolution of the cover image.

Inserting a cover into the book via the Editor (cover tool) or Polish uses the Preference

Yep, you're right -- I had the dimensions wrong. You helped me save a bunch of time -- thank you!
Now, another question if you can answer it -- is there a way to "float" things, i.e. the intro header, dedication, etc., vertically on a page?
