K1 @$AUD129

wowzers!

I was wondering when this might happen.

Original Kobo in Borders Aust. for $AUD129 (well not really Borders!! Has nothing to do with Borders U.S. so I was told by staff. They just kept the Borders name).

While stock lasts ... wonder how many of 'em are v1.0????

I would say they are clearing out in readiness for Christmas and the Ko2.

Not a bad price though.

I wonder if they would honour the $20.00 VIP voucher to bring it down to a $109.00, I guess I should phone and find out.

Could always join VIP club member and get the $20 on the card and do it that way.

Looks like we have a good deal in Canada.
Regular Kobo $98.00, and Wifi $149.00 (and includes 4 free contemporary novels).
I just bought the Wifi, and so far are very happy with it.
(at the moment $CDN is almost exactly the same as $AUD)

That is what I was referring to, and I guess what I meant to write, was can you get a further discount on specials with it. I haven't picked my card up yet, I don't get into Rundle Mall very often, the only Borders in SA.

To answer my questions I rang Borders in Adelaide and the girl I spoke to said that you can get a further $20 off the $129 price with the VIP card. They have about 6 or 7 in stock in black or white. She also assured me that the $129 price was available on the Borders Aust website, but you can't use the VIP online.

On the Borders website they are out of stock, so one would now assume you can only buy whatever stock is instore.

I joined VIP earlier this week. I assume the store the card is being sent to will notify me it has arrived.

AU$109 is a fantastic price.

FWIW, I know that Borders in Melbourne Central had quite a lot of them in stock ...

My wife said I could buy her one when they get down to $100, I wonder if $109 will do?
