Rymer, James Malcolm: The Black Monk (Illustrated). v1. 22 Jul 2017.

Converted from my ePub using Calibre.

Summary:
Mysterious lights, ghosts, and deaths plague the Castle of Brandon in the early years of the 13th century. With Sir Rupert Brandon off to the crusades, The Black Monk has plans to overthrow him with the aid of Agatha and Eldred Weare. Will he succeed? And who is the maniacal Wizard of the Red Cavern? And the crusaders who keep their faces hid with velvet masks?

A Note on the Text:
The text is that of the first and only known edition published by Edward Lloyd in 52 numbers between March/April 1843 and March 1844 in the classic 8-page per number style, authored anonymously, but generally assumed to be by James Malcolm Rymer, and found in the British Library and online at Nineteenth Century Collections Online. The OCR, editing, and proofreading were performed by myself and reflects as exact as possible the original publication with no modernization of spelling or punctuation.
