Using Kindle app on Tab Ultra C

Hi all

Just got a Tab Ultra C and I am having a weird problem. I installed the Kindle app from the Play Store, but when I try to sign in with my Amazon password, I get "There was a problem. Your password is incorrect". Anyone else had this issue?

To pre-empt the obvious: my date/time and timezone are correct.

Figured it out - even though the app never asked for location permissions, it needed them. Had to go to the Boox settings and enable this.

Two questions, please

1.- How does the Kindle app work?
2.- Is the screen (in black and white) as gray as it looks in the videos?

1) It's overreach on Kindle to require location.

2) Not all Onyx have location, even if all the Qualcomm chips have GPS built in.

In which videos?
- You can choose some layout colors
- And the light illuminates the screen

This is how you embed a YouTube video. You use the code after the v= in the URL. You wrap this in the YouTube tags.

With the front light you can brighten the background and thus make it white

I expect Kindle wants location so that it knows what country I am in. But yeah, it has my Amazon account details; shouldn't need more than that.

The Kindle app is fine; it's not gray. The main thing I am finding missing compared to my Kindle device is dark mode; the Kindle app doesn't have that, nor does the native Boox reader app. I use that a lot so I am quite bummed about it. I can get around that with Moon Reader but the ghosting is quite bad on the normal refresh settings.
