Firmware 5.17.1.0.2 is out
Just for Kindle basic (2024) & Paperwhite 12 (2024).

Version 5.17.1.0.2 – November 2024

Here's what's new:

Performance improvements, bug fixes, and other general enhancements.

Reddit post saying this corrected the fonts always reverting back to bookerly.

Will update mine later to see.

I’ve never found that issue in my new Paperwhite 12. So I don't expect anything exciting from this update.

Lucky you, mine reverts back to Bookerly anytime you close the book you're reading or put it in sleep.
