If anything, I think things are about the same. Apart from February (managing a load of bundles and logging RPG PDFs) and May (Hugo voter packet), I've added 37 books on average per month. Not all are 99p deals, though, some are freebies, others were some big purchases from Drivethru. I'll admit the numbers of 99p deals that are new to me appear to have dropped over recent years.

I haven't read this one, but Foster is one of those authors where I am perfectly willing to recommend books "sight unseen" as I've been a fan for well over thirty years.

Thanks for that. It came up on my eReaderIQ yesterday, but I got distracted and forgot to purchase.

I agree. I don't know that he has any masterpieces. But then I haven't yet read a book of his I didn't enjoy. I've just recently read Montezuma Strip and his novelization of The Thing and really enjoyed both.
