DPT-RP1: Ghosting

Hello,

since some months my Sony DPT-RP1 shows the effect of "ghosting" - when opening / going to a new page the previous pages are still visible as "background-shadow", like "ghost"-pics of the previous pages, in darker and lighter colour. When changing the page the display is not erased to a "white" background and the background is no longer "white" (as it was in the past) but something as grey. When zooming into the page the "ghosting"-effect is less, but after "Exit" the zoom "ghosting" comes back.
Does anybody has an idea, what is the reason for this and how I can "repair" the device. I have just opened the reader and removed and reinserted the display-connectors but w/o success.

This is just a guess, but maybe the battery doesn't provide enough current anymore to fully drive the display? Is it easy to replace the battery in those devices?

I have already checked the battery, it is o.k.. I have also added a second battery for testing - no improvement. The battery is soldered with two cables for plus/minus and two cables for an NTC.
