Although the iPhone 8 models may have cannibalized sales for the X, rumors of Apple pulling the X off the shelves are farfetched. If the X is too expensive to produce, Apple will take its tech and roll it into the iPhone 9, or whatever else they have planned for the Fall. Also, interest in the X is still high. Personally, I'm more interested in them stabilizing iOS 11 than in focusing on shiny new models.
