Question Use with restricted user rights?

Hi,

how can I use Sunrise with an account with restricted user rights (Windows XP SP2)? Every time I try to download an URL, it fails with the error:

"Error: java.io.IOException: connection refused"

I double-checked it: downloading the same URL with administrator rights runs successfully. Is there any way to get around this?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Can you access these URLs through the web browser?

Yep, no problem. As long as I give myself admin rights everything goes right. Only with restricted user rights, Sunrise fails but Firefox can load the pages.

I must say I know too little about Windows administration to be of any help here. I do know that Sunrise works fine, at least on my machine, with a "Limited account". (i.e. not an Administrator.)

OK, found it! After playing around with FileMon from SysInternals, I realized I need write access to the directory <Sunrise>\temp. Now it works!

Best regards,
Rob

Good to hear! :-) The exception message ("connection refused") is not very helpful.

Eerm... Maybe it was a bit too late last night...

I'm using a german Windows and translated the german Java Exception "Zugriff verweigert" - but in the wrong way

Of course the translation should have been "Access denied" which would have make it more obvious that it was a local access problem, not a net access problem.
Sorry... next time I will only post between 8 a.m and 6 p.m.
