Import epub on mac

Hello,

I can add epub files to the Library on mac but, during the import, it fails to use the information in it, like the cover, author, etc.

I have no problem with the same Library, with the same file on Windows.
I think the settings are the same, so I am not sure what am I doing wrong.

make sure the setting to read metadata from file contents in prefernces->adding books is enabled and the epub metadata reader plugin in preferences->plugins is enabled.

Thank you for the immediate response, the plugin was disabled for some reason.
