Two T1s at Shop Goodwill (one new)
Just in case anyone is looking for a PRS-T1, Shop Goodwill currently has two listed. One is advertised as new (and it looks it).
The (advertised) new one (in box). https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/53101188 The other one (sold with a PRS-300) https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/53105765 Both have a starting bid of $30, but both have 1¢ shipping/handling (which normally costs about $10 to $12 on Shop Goodwill). I'm guessing the starting bid is what they'll sell for. (I could be wrong.) |

I already bought three Kobos from shopgoodwill and one Sony PRS 350. . .each for under 10 dollars plus shipping. Does anyone know where a Sony PRS T-3 is available for purchase for a reasonable price?

I got my T3 from Ebay. Just keep searching, they pop up at a reasonable price occasionally.

The T3 is not worth $62.

One thing I wonder? If one has a 62$ as a "reasoable" price, what would he do when he is faced with an item put at sale for 45$?

You can get a refurbished Kobo Glo HD on eBay from Rakuten for $89.99. That's a much better price/device than a T1.

Not for me as my eyes and front-lit ereaders don't get along. Nor does the Glo have page turn keys. Not running down the Kobo Glo HD, but $90 and $62 and not that close in price either.

But when you consider how much better the Glo HD is than the T1, you'd drop the T1 easily. The T1 is unable to handle a lot of today's eBooks. When the T1 is faced with eBooks with high-res images such as the cover, it works very poorly. Also, the contrast of the T1 is not as good as the Glo HD and the Glo HD has a newer version of RMSDK. The T1 is slower than the Glo HD. Other than page turn buttons in a rather poor position, can you name one thing the T2 has over the Glo HD? You do know that the buttons on the T1 wear out? Not the part of the button internally, but the plastic wears out.

Their batteries are probably dead after not being charged for years.

I have Kobo ereaders and Sony readers. I prefer the Sonys and use in preference to the Kobo everytime.
I just wish they still made them. |

This is the Sony forum. We have several members who like older Sonys and come here to report good deals they have found in case anyone else is interested. Why interrupt their discussion by coming in here to tell people they should buy another brand? I'm sure every one of these people buying old Sonys is well aware there are other, newer brands of ereaders available.
