Untamed by Sharon Ihle is 1st in her Wild Women series of western historical romances, originally published by Kensington's Zebra imprint in 1999 and now free courtesy of re-publisher ePublishing Works! (exclamation mark is theirs) who've been doing some time-limited multi-store backlist freebies lately.

Currently free @ Kobo & iTunes (both available to Canadians). Just $0.01 over at Books on Board, who apparently have some kind of referral program if anyone wants to PM for a signup link and are holding a 25-40% off sale.

She's an autobuy for me. I already have this one but this looks like the formatting has drastically improved and much better than the ones I bought from smashwords.

Does anyone know if this is another self-publishing outlet (like smashwords) or is there a editing/proofing staff?

Here's their website. Decide for yourself. Their catalogue released under their brand imprint does look to consist of midlist backlist authors bringing out their mostly-previously-published works.

I can say the new one I just downloaded is a much improved version of the self published one I bought from Smashwords which had horrible formatting issues. This one seems to have all formatting correct and a working TOC. I can't say about OCR errors but this is a previously published book so it shouldn't need editing other than for that.

thx, I'm on tablet for a bit and difficult to research before I get back to pc.

I will say it's an author I'd grab, anyway (and glad it's well formatted, although not much can be worse than the early topaz stuff).

I'll look thru their site to see what they say about any selection they do for authors and/or editing/formatting assistance.
