Text to Speech (TTS)

Text to Speech (TTS) is now officially supported in the iOS app allowing you to leverage the full extent of iOS Text to Speech (TTS) voices and languages.

Now turn any eBook into an audiobook by using Text to Speech (TTS)
All you need to do to use Text to Speech (TTS) is to go to Settings inside the Reader, select Text to Speech (TTS) and enable it.

The following has been implemented:

• Play & Pause TTS
• Resume where you left off
• Supports Currently playing info
• Listening in background

Local only & No Registration

Read up to 10 books locally on a single device with all features unlocked, no registration required! Only sign up when you want to power up your reading experience and use multiple devices.

It looks like it's course-management system. Something remotely like Coursera.

Bookfusion is reading system first and foremost.
(It does have integrated bookstore and 'corporate library' functionality but you can just ingore them).

• Localization – We have started to add support for other languages to the app. The first language added was the Ukrainian Language as that is the other language spoken natively by members in the team. We want to quickly add other languages including Spanish, French, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic and all others. If we have a translator for a language we will add it. If you would like to see your language sooner than later and you use BookFusion then drop us a line at support@bookfusion.com expressing your interest to help with translation. Support for more languages coming soon.

And Bookfusion is still missing the ability to add custom fonts, no hyphenation, and no ADE page numbers. There are rather important and should be added before any other new features.

1) Custom fonts have been supported in our IOS app a long time ago - A post should be somewhere in the thread but here it is 5 months ago - https://www.reddit.com/r/BookFusion/...graph_spacing/ . Will also be added to Android

New Context Menu

A new context menu is now available anywhere in the bookshelf that you can access with long press or press & hold on any of the covers of your ebooks. This context menu allows you to quickly do the following:

• Add to Favorites
• Remove from Currently Reading
• Move to Plan to Read
• Move to Completed
• Edit
• Delete

Series Support

That's right, your patience has paid off and the time has come - series support is here on Android. You can now read and organize your different series directly on Android just like you can on the Web and iOS. Here are a couple things to look out for in this update:

• Display series information on book details screen
• Created, update, and delete series information
• Bulk add books to a series
• Toggle main screen between your bookshelf and a list of all series

Yes, the iOS app. Marvin does not support ADE (Adobe Digital Editions) page numbers. But just because another app doesn't support something is no reason not to support ADE page numbers. Having ADE page number makes it that much easier to go from ePub on my Kobo to BF on my iPhone and back with the same eBook as the page numbers will match perfectly.

Hyphenation should have been a feature from the first day BF was released.

As for fonts, I don't see how to add the fonts of my choice. All I see is BF picking up fonts used by other apps. If there's a way to add the fonts that I want without the need for any other app, please tell me how.

We would need to look into how ADE page numbers work exactly. If this works with metadata pulled from the epub then it could be done quickly, or if they use.

At the time, hyphenation was not one of the highlight requested features. I understand it is very important to you and we will look at adding.

We used the recommended way by Apple to install custom fonts. Custom fonts are allowed and are used by many users. Once you install the font via system it will show up in the BookFusion app.

Look at the code for the Count Pages plugin for calibre. That will show you just how ADE page numbers are calculated.

With regards to hyphenation at no point did I say it was not important. I said at the time hyphenation was not a highly requested feature.(had a typo as highlight in previous post) We collect feedback across our support system, reddit , discord, surveys and https://bookfusion.hellonext.co/?sort=top and for some reason it was not highly requested so we prioritized accordingly. Personally, I have never used it but I do not observe very wide gaps. However, that is my personal preference/perspective not all other readers and this is why we made the reading experience customizable. It will be added, we placed it on our backlog
