Kindle slow

My kindle paperwhite 2nd generation is acting slow ever since I got some kindle active content (takenote, and accuweather). Is this normal and what can I do to solve these problems. I also got these programs a few days ago

That's what I found, too. Dumped the active content and the subscriptions and everything is much better now
