FYI, American Lion is available in many public libraries as an ebook.

Not in mine. And the hardcover is on a month+ wait. But I'm about half through so no biggie. Not in a hurry to register since there's nothing really to play around with other than shopping for books.

Would your Library do an ILL (Interlibrary loan) from another Library?

I also bought a used Kindle. It came deregistered with book content. I registered it and the book content remained. I turned on the Whispernet and content remained. It is my understanding, if content is removed by you, it can not be reloaded... as you were not the one who purchased it.

Alright, you're at least the 2nd person to say that so I'm going to give it a go!
And they were right. Registered it through the Kindle whispernet. Used the store and bought the next book I want to read (Th Pirate King- R.A. Salvatore--good deal at $6.36 for a book that's not in paperback yet). It downloaded and the books the previous user left are still there as well. So that's good to know. If you're selling a used Kindle you can tell folks about the books on it and that they can read them as long as they don't delete them off the Kindle. But moot since I registered the Kindle and the book is still there. |
